Former Rhode Island captain Grace Rignanese became the second athlete from the school to donote bone marrow in the past nine months. Rignanese's donation will be given to an 18-year-old girl.

With the team title coming down to second place in the last race of the day, Brown defeated Stanford by five-hundredths of a second to capture its second national championship in four years.
