2012 Men’s Basketball
Championship

Top-ranked TCU and defending champion Kentucky headline a field of eight teams that qualified for the 2012 National Collegiate Rifle Championship set for March 9-10 in Columbus, Ohio.

Matt Emmons might be the best shooter in the world. While at Alaska-Fairbanks in the early 2000s, he became the only four-time individual national champion and had two stellar Olympic performances.

A balanced air rifle performance led No. 2 Kentucky to a strong performance at the quailifying match. Heather Greathouse and Stacy Wheatley both shot 590 for the Wildcats.

No. 6 Alaska-Fairbanks tied its season high in air rifle and captured a tri-meet with No. 9 Jacksonville State and No. 12 Nebraska. Now, all three ready for the NCAA Qualifier.
